Prototype: How to not start a good weekend

Well, first let me give my Prototype rant, then my followup rant. We all know I'm angry, so yea, two rants for a post fits well.

First of all, Prototype. It's a decent game, but it is very short. After a point it really feels boring. It's not repetition truly, it's far too short a game for much of it to get repeated, but the gameplay drags on and gets annoying, fast. Combat is great at first, but it feels really slow later, and you spend much of your time running/hiding to heal, or dodging attacks to live to run/hide to heal. The story, well, honestly I couldn't tell you. It was... eh. SciFi original movie level I suppose. Nothing too wonderful. Overall, the game is a good rent, but that's about it.

Now, the post-game rant.

Prototype fried my PS3s laser. :/
Now, just to make this known, I've NEVER had a console die before this generation. I still have a working 2600 and a NES that reads cartridges. I'm losing faith in console gaming anymore. The big three stopped caring about consumers a bit too much.

Current-gen consoles I have gone through:
PS3 - 1
360 - 1
Wii - 0

Sadly, I haven't played my Wii in over 6 months, so all I know it may be dead from neglect by now, but really, who cares about the Wii anyways?

What's a Wii? :) Anyway, thats terrible man. Your PS3 dies, which flies in the face of the "PS3's are rock solid" crowd. I myself just got my 360 back from repair for the 4th time.

Heh, I had my 360 die once, repaired under warranty, sold it and got the Resi5 Elite. PS3 died.. so yea, one of each has died. I've always tried to stay in the neutral when it comes to console fanboys, but honestly I just can't stand the Wii. It isn't fun anymore. I will say, Sonys customer support is complete shit compared to Microsoft's. Microsoft tried to patch things up with me/at least apologized for shit going wrong, Sony just told me I had to pay $150.

Anyways, I need to move, room smells of rubbing alcohol from cleaning CD and DVD cases, best way to get residue off, best way to smell like shit though too.

Oh, we need to promote this area more so people post again.
