I am 19 years old and an extreme game-a-holic. My gaming experience started way back when I was 3 or 4 years old. I was a military kid so I was babysat and played games all day. Started on the Nintendo Entertainment system. I enjoyed Mario but my favorites were Contra, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Zelda, Final Fantasy and Mike Tyson Knockout (or whatever). I actually beat the Mike Tyson game when I was little and my dad was uber jealous. Have yet to repeat the feat. Eventually moved on to the Super Nintendo Entertainment System and played more Mario as well as Donkey Kong. Then I got my SEGA Genesis. Boy, that is one of my top favorite consoles ever. Sonic was fun, but I really enjoyed Marsupalmi, Gargoyles, and Beyond Oasis. Lemmings was extremely enjoyable. If you haven't noticed, I enjoy a variety of games. Anyways, eventually the Nintendo 64 came out as well as the SEGA Saturn. Loved the Saturn but didn't really have any games that I though memorable except Sonic which was released on other consoles later. On the N64 I enjoyed Paper Mario, Gex, and Body Harvest. That was also when my FPS love surfaced. GoldenEye 007 was excellent but out done in my opinion by the Turok series (which had the Torque Bow for Gears fans). Also enjoyed Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire a lot. Then for my birthday came the Playstation. Boy, the Final Fantasies, Legend of Dragoon, and other TB-RPG's were EXCELLENT. And along came updated versions of the original Final Fantasies along with an old favorite of Chrono Trigger (in which Chrono Cross failed to bring back the awesomeness). Eventually the Playstation 2, GameCube, and XBox arrived. Nothing worth mentioning on the GameCube besides Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Metroid Prime, and all the Zelda games (Windwaker FTW!) as well as Paper Mario and the Thousand Year Door. On the Playstation 2, the Jak series stole my heart. The Champions series was excellent and love the ability to import your character. The Baldur's Gate games were similar to the Champions series as well as the D&D game but I felt were better on the Xbox. Everything that was on the Xbox felt smoother. Halo came and I was disappointed. Halo 2 came and I was equally disappointed. I soon turned to the PC for my FPS needs until Doom 3 and 007: Agent Under Fire (much better than the PS2 version) came. They were GREAT. But one of my favorites for the Xbox was Second Sight. As well as Ninja Gaiden, Star Wars Battle Front, and Knights of the Old Republic I and II. These games made the Xbox truly epic. The ability to easily create a LAN and play with all your friends made for great fun as well as the easy to connect Xbox Live. While not many other games on the Xbox captured me the way those did, I became a loyal Xboxer. While Microsoft sucks with everything, they have made 3 GREAT products. The Xbox, DirectX, and Microsoft Office (I use OpenOffice because I am too cheap for MS Office but would get it if I could). Eventually the Next-Gen systems came out and I of course got the Xbox 360. I own a Wii, and play with a friend on his PS3 but the 360 has it all. While the PSN is free, it does not have nearly as much to offer as LIVE does on the Xbox.
